Hi, I just had a break in at my house and they stole 5 electrics. This was in Berkeley, California

1) Heritage 535 (2003) The color was French Wine Red marked on the label

2) White 60's classic Telecaster

3) 1991 Black MIM Telecaster scuffed up on the top part and some chips on the edges. If you take the neck off it says Conchita on the inside.

4) Fender 50's classic Stratocaster, two tone sunburst, no back plate, deaf eddie switch in middle position and master tone. One small ding in the neck around the 10th fret.

5) Also a Gibson Les Paul Studio that I had custom painted to look like flames, swirls of red, black and yellow. It was an 83.

NO cases.

They stole the computer so there went pictures and serial numbers.

Any information reply here.

Thanks Barry

Best of luck on the recovery. If I were you, I would add some more details to the thread title to catch the attention of anyone who may have info.

I live in Petaluma. I'll keep at look out locally. Sorry that happened....

Maybe post a WTB ad on Craigslist to try to sting the thief(s)? You never know.

Sorry about this... hopefully you'll get everything recovered.

This is exactly what I would do..... and I'd try it for the Heritage 535. Not too many floating around.

thanks, I may try that Heritage listing. Incredibly pissed and upset. None of the neighbors saw anything, most weren't even home. Also bad is that they took my computer which had everything I had recorded on it.

Update: The Heritage just showed up on a completed ebay listing, sold across the country about 2 weeks ago. A local pawn shop was the seller. This might get interesting

Further update, spoke to the buyer, he contacted the seller and he is returning the guitar, the seller found me through here and contacted me. It looks like this will be resolved. I do want to say that the seller, a pawnshop owner, is definitely trying to do the right thing along with the buyer.

I'd definitely have the authorities involved before going any further on your end - cover your axe and get it all documented.

So I have gotten the Heritage back. A couple new scratches from when it was stolen but otherwise in great shape. Everything is on the up and up, the pawnshop owner was great about getting it back to me, the police have signed off on it and my insurance company knows and will be getting some money back from me.

The funny part is that while it was gone I had gotten a Gibson 335 to replace it (both are red to add more humor to it) so now I can weigh in on both sides of the Heritage vs. Gibson debate. I will be keeping both.
