Hey fellow telebashers,
Anyone using the overwound fat series te tele bridge pickup? I'm looking to try a hotter bridge pickup in my tele and wonder if anyone had any thoughts on this pickup. It would be paired with a Lollar Vintage T in the neck which sounds really fat in my guitar. It overshadows my current Fralin Hot Tele bridge pickup quite a bit right now and I hoping a little hotter bridge pickup will solve this problem. I'm a jazz and blues guy and looking for some raw, gritty tele sweetness!

Thanks,

I've used the Fat before - it's great - big and ballsy !!

Thnaks Dano. Any more detailed description of what kind of tone it gave you?

Thanks!

it's pretty hot - pretty much P-90 territory almost

if you are always playing w/ gain and want BALLS - you may love it

if you are after nice clean tones as well - you may prefer his TE-60

I had one in a Tele once and while it is fat and sounds great gained up...it still has lots of clarity...clean...

I was pleasantly surprised by it... before I got the guitar I was thinking about replacement pickups...after I got it there was no need to change pickups...

Currently I am using an Ellis broadcaster pup that reminds me of it a bit...
