Can anyone compare these two pedals for clarity, sustain, tone? I ordered a 4-knob Mos that should be here next week or so, can't wait to get it. I want smooth, fairly dark sustain and responsivness.... I have heard the Eternity is good for this as well, although a lot more money....?

Sorry I cannot help you with any info about the Mosferatu, but the Eternity is probably about the finest OD I have ever had. What makes it special to me is that it is very smooth but also non-compressed and open sounding. It also has a big bottom end and does not sound mid heavy.
One of the finest OD's IMO.

The Mos is cool too,but I have never side by sided them.

A 'regular' 3-knob Mos has some compression and upper mids - the 4-knobber will probably give you more control over that...

If you want smooth dark endless sustain, the Mos will do that. I think the Eternity is more responsive, however, and the Mos is more compressed, so it's a trade off. They are both very nice.

I've had my eternity long enough to safely say it is the best OD I've ever heard. It is smooth and uncompressed. It's an overdrive with full frequency response and pretty hot, so it can work as a full distortion too. The most important thing is how well it works with a dirty amp or other distortion/od pedals. It is very unmuddy... the most unmuddy I've ever heard.

i have both, and the main difference i hear is the brightness and focus of the drive. i'd say the sustain on both is about equal, and they could probably be dialed in to cover a lot of the same ground. but they seem to focus on slightly different areas.
the eternity is much brighter and the drive seems to hit in the upper mids. but it's still very smooth and responsive (quite a feat when a pedal has this much high end). by comparison, the mosferatu is a bit darker and it seems to be focused in the lower mids. it's probably a little smoother than the eternity, by virtue of having a little less high end.
the only other thing i'd note is that the eternity occassionally picks up some noise/interference, but the mosferatu has always been pretty quiet. overall, sounds like you picked the one you'd prefer, but i doubt you'd be unhappy with either!

Thanks guys - just what I needed. I think I did do the right thing by going with the Mos - can't really afford the Eternity right now anyway....
Out of curiosity, anyone know how the Mos compares to the CJOD?

That is interesting because my Eternity is not bright or mid focused at all.
I wonder if this is mainly a factor of the chip selection.

I know Hermida does the Mosferatu. I have one of his Zen Drives and that's a great pedal.
