was not no hitter. call at first base was totally blown. not even as close as last year when j joyce blew detroit perfect game. i guess ump crew now decide any close call go to no-no pitching team.
good game, but a 1 hitter should be on the books.

Congrats to Liriano... his Changeup was definitely nasty... You can't take anything away from a pitcher who can go 9 innings and not give up a hit. As a White Sox fan, I've got to discredit him a little bit because the White Sox are absolutely awful! The hardest hit ball all night was the last out by Dunn- which was a soft line drive right at the shortstop. The Sox just aren't hitting at all, but props to Liriano for taking advantage of a struggling team... no one else has closed out yet this year.

It still would have been if they got the call right. The 1st runner was walked, therefore it would had been scored as "fielder's choice," not a hit.

I have a soft spot for liriano. He was in aa in 05 and our local minor league beat writer was raving about him. I bought two of his short print autograph cards for 6 bucks. Sold em a year later for $200 each!

A no-hitter is a no-hitter. This is Baseball, not "wait, can we replay this call for 5 mins" football.
FRANKIE!
That put at least a little dent in his ERA...

A co-worker in my league had almost dropped him too, but he instead sat him on the bench last night :rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao

Beckham was not out at first, not even close.
The White Sox should have had the tying run at first with the potential winning run at the plate but the umps blew it.
Tainted no hitter. :)

Well both times Buerhle threw his no-hitters (the second was a perfect game), the Sox fell apart immediately after... maybe this will have the opposite effect... one can only hope

Again, this is Baseball...you get some calls, some calls you don't. Don't like it, go watch Basketball.
