I'm ready to buy a new amp and think I'm going to go the Victoria route. I'm not exactly sure what model I'm most interested in, and, although, I live in Chicago it's difficult to find a shop that carries many different models. Does anyone know if Victoria will let customers come to the warehouse and try out different amps?

How about you call them and ask them?
Makenmusic has more than a few Victoria's in stock.
Give Teddy a shout and ask what he has on the floor.

I believe they're a pretty small operation, I don't think they really have a warehouse. Their amps sound great and I've never heard anybody having anything other than an excellent experience with them. Best bet is probably to go to a dealer that carries them, such as Make'n Music.
*edit* - I'm clearly wrong, as many have been there. Sorry! I highly support Mark's work, his amps are really wonderful.

The Music Gallery in Highland Park is a Victoria dealer and you can call them to see what is in stock or go online.

I highly recommend getting a hold of Mark and talking with him ... he is very helpful, will talk about amps for days (which I love), all around good guy, and I bet he'd offer you a better price than local shops and options to try if you're a serious buyer.
Good luck!

I was in Maken a few weeks ago and they unfortunately had very few in stock. They used to have a ton in stock, but seem to be lower these days.
I think Chicago Music Exchange may deal Victorias as well.

I agree. It has been a long time, but that is what I did. I was in Naperville and he invited me by. Gave me a Strat and I played every model---they were all great. However, playing them all was the only way for me to know the Double Deluxe was THE tweed amp for me. It was one of the first ever made, and I sill have it. Full of NOS glass, sounds amazing.

I have been to Victoria several times. Simply call ahead and be prepared to get lost as it a bit tricky to find. It's in Naperville.

Just buy a Double Deluxe. I've had them all (in the good old days when I was single). Next would be the 2x10 Super 35210. Good luck on getting into the Victoria factory, and have a ball.

FOR THE RECORD: This is why Make'n Music no longer offers a full selection of Victoria amps in stock.

Give Mark a call. I've been to his place three times. First time I bought two amps, second and third was for amp repair. He's a SUPER cool guy. He let me jam on his amps while I was there. Way cool!
