Anyone of you ever a/bed the Celestion G12M heritage vs G12C ?

G12C are in Hendrix cab and Vintage Modern cabs 425a and b

G12M heritage are sold alone or in a EVH 5150 III cabs.

Thank's!........Louis

I've been interested in checking out the G12Cs too.

The Heritage is 96db and the G12C is 98db... I think?

Also, though they are both in the family of Greenbacks, they are different cones.

The G12M Heritage and the EVH are a 11914 cone, and the G12C is the 53H1777 cone, like it's other Celestion G12M (non Heritage) brethren.

G12C was a limited run for the Hendrix amps, made in UK, then production changed to China for the VM Series. Possibly the tooling was sent over?

I'd think the UK and China G12C might be not much difference. Same for the regular Greenbacks (China 53H1777), should All sound good. However, the UK Alnico Blue vs China Vox Blue show a Huge difference in sound. There's a Youtube of the A/B and it's fairly drastic.

The Heritage is a different animal.

I "heard" or gathered around, that there's a bit of G12H30 attitude on those G12Cs, but I'm just adding that in for fun.

I might head over to GC to see if they have a VM cab in to check out.
Happy Hunting!

I love my Marshall 425a. The G12c are awesome. Killer tone for both clean and dirty. They are said to be made in England. I haven't a/bed them but from what I remember I think the is a tiny bit brighter but could be wrong.
