would this work, if i put a Weber 75 watt alnico bluedog and a Scumback 25 watt M75 in a 212 cab? how much does the 2 different speaker wattage matter to the sound? i will be running a 18 watt vox/marshall style head through the cab.
The rating for the cab would only be 50 watts, so yes it would be sufficent for an 18-20 watt head. Its double the wattage of the lowest rated speaker. Its important to match the 'spl' of the two speakers so that one is not terribly overpowering the other

thanks, i didn't know about the 'spl' matching. i found the Weber rating but not the Scumbacks, i think i'll just give Jim at scumbacks a call.
No problem, the spl doesn't need to match exactly, just be close

FWIW i run a mismatched Greenback/V30 in a 2x12.
contrary to popular belief one doesnt over power the other
