Hello fellow TGP'ers,
Is this a typo? Could a new Briggs guitar be had for $25? Really? Well, it's truly possible, and I'll explain how:
My friend Michael Gardner, a prominent guitarist in the North Carolina Triangle area for over 3 decades was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease recently. A benefit has been organized for relief of his many overwhelming expenses. To help in the effort, I have built a special Avatar model that will be raffled during the benefit show at the Lincoln Theater in Raleigh, NC on Sunday 6/5/11. The guitar was made from what I'd set aside years ago to be a demo or personal instrument, but this opportunity seemed a much more apt one for the piece.
Here is the spec sheet for the guitar:

The sheet had a couple of lines obliterated: the weight is 7 lbs. 14 oz.; the retail price $3045. A full limited warranty to original owner is provided as well as the plush-lined form-fitted G&G case.
Tickets are available for $25 ea. (plus a $2 shipping fee) with a total of only 500 tickets printed. A PayPal site has been generated for handling the ticket sales. Here is the link: http://mgpdbenefit.com/Briggs.html
Please help Mike by donating to this great cause. Donations are tax-deductible and you have a chance at winning the guitar for every ticket purchased.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
