I'm using a compressor and fuzz on the front end in seperate boxes (I have delays, too) but am looking at grabbing a looper for living room noodling...would there be any shortcomings to getting an M9 for looping at the tail end of my effects chain (ie: loss of fidelity from my comp/fuzz)? I want to get a phaser anyway and I loved the Verbzilla verbs for atmosphere back when I had it so I figure the cost would about balance out but I don't want to neuter my current front-end boxes. Should I go with the M9 or spring for the separate modulation and looper boxes?
Any/all experience shared here would be appreciated. :)

I have an HD500 so I can't speak directly about the M9, but judging from my experience:
No. No shortcomings I can think of. Very intuitive to use.
I DO suggest you splurge and go for the M13, though.

THanks for the response!
Why go for the M13? I like the small PedaltrainJr-friendly footprint and don't require much except for the looper with the occasional modulation, verb, and/or delay.

I think the M9 would be great for you. The M13 is huge.

M13 would be a giant waste of space for me and I'm guessing you as well. The M9 rocks and I don't notice any loss of tone. Good looper functionality too!

Thanks for the responses, keep 'em coming! ;)
Would it behoove me to check out an HD 300 instead? It looks like a bigger M9 with a built-in expression pedal, amp models, and USB connectivity...it's also usually $75-100 cheaper! What do you think?
