Hello. I have been searching for quite a while for a solution to this. I use Taylor guitars, all with the Expression System. Plugged directly into a board it sounds amazing. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for me as I not only use a small effects loop, but I also need to run through a TC Helicon Voicelive 2. The problem lies with using the balanced out from the Taylors. Everything else is unbalanced in so I lose a lot of my signal. I have thought about using the Taylor K4, but my guy at Sweetwater has steered me away from that as his opinion is that it is not a great product. Today I discovered the Sound Sculpture Switchblade GL & 8b on a youtube video about Dave Matthews' rig. I am intrigued by this. Any suggestions as to how this would work for me? Specifically, I go balanced out. Then I need to go unbalanced in to the Voicelive and then into a bypass looper (also unbalanced) and then back into a Bose L1. I was thinking I could maybe run the guitar into the Switchblade, run 1 loop though the Voicelive/looper and back to SW/BL (or 2 separate loops to the VL and bypass looper or dump the looper altogether and use separate loops for my 4 pedals I use). Is it possible to run the audio out from the VL to the SW/BL to sum that output to ch 1 & 2 of the L1. I need ch 3 & 4 on the L1 for a synth pedal setup. Right now my head is swimming with ideas about the SW/BL, but I'm not certain of it's limitations. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
