Thinking about my next 'rawk' guitar and thought of doing another LP but I figure I should do something different and since I am a Gibson guy (can't help it) and the ones that come to mind are the Gibson Dethklok Explorer or their GOTW Gibson RD in Silverburst.
Anyone have any experience with either and can give their pros and cons?

For me it is no contest: The Dethklok Explorer. While I've never watched the show and I've always been somewhat hesitant when it comes to signature guitars, I love the classy look as well as the specifications. Plus, I've always gelled with the Explorer shape, which I can't say for the RD.

Yeah the only thing I don't like about the Dethklok Explorer (just found out it was discontinued, booo) is the fast neck, more of a fat neck guy for riffing.

I've always liked baseball bat necks on Gibsons. I typically like medium sized necks, but on a Gibson it is go big or go home. Might not have the same mojo as regular Explorers.
