Great show. Total 70's epic blues-rock vibe. Zeppelin meets Purple meets Bad Company, meets early Whitesnake. Les Pauls, explorers, Double necks...

Three old ass Marshall heads with 3 6X10 cabs. Epic guitar soloing, faux majestic Baroque key board antics from Derek Sherinian... Killer drumming from Jason Bonham. Glenn Hughes has serious pipes hitting impossible notes. He screams and does the kind of classic 70's swagger you can't learn unless you were there.

They played "Burn" for the encore. Killed it.

I reviewed the new record and it's better than the first one. I'll link the review when it gets published.

I saw it in Anaheim and unlike the 70's where shit would go on and on, the venue jumped the gun trying to kick everyone out on time. They actually put on the house music while the band was bowing. I felt a little insulted. It was a geezer crowd and I guess they wanted to make sure we got to bed on time.

Great show.

How much were tickets? Reasonable or stupid-expensive?

Did Derek add more to the music live? One of my complaints with the first album was his lack of involvement, it's like the keyboards were added as an afterthought. Hopefully this is something that is rectified on the new album.

$36 for general admission seating at the venue I'm going to this Friday.

Not bad at all considering how much it costs to see JB solo.

There are a lot more keyboards on the new album than the first one but its still a guitar album.....One track (save me) is very 'Kashmir' like with plenty of keyboards in it
