Hey did this track get named because of the racket the klds were making in the background?

Another note, any thoughts on good modes/keys to use soloing over this piece?

Yep. this is my usual guitar position:

NO SECOND TAKES ALLOWED! ;)

Essentially, the track was made to work well with in a Bb blues mode. The scales to play can be Bb7, Bb pentatonic, Bb blues scale, Bb blues scale with a 6th instead of 7th, Bb altered 5....

There's an bridge with a Fm and you can still use a Bb7 scale or a Fm pentatonic.

The freaky chords and my sons shouting/singing will simply embelish your lead lines. :)

BTW, what's the howling in the background? Cat in heat or a baby?

Read above. It's my 2 year old son running around like crazy and shouting while I recorded the bass line. I didn't realize that the mike had picked it up.

I'm without my speakers at the moment, but I'll hear your take later.

Ed, this is possibly my favourite take of yours.

Excellent vibe and sound. At times, I thought that there was a bit of Ray Gomez there...;)

P.S. I prefer the first version

Love it! This kind of fluid/lazy/hot style. Very cool.

Thanks for playing over my backing.

Great tune marin. Your son in the background just caps it off and makes it perfect :)

Hey Dave,

nice intro melody. The feeling was very early 70s..is that a flanger or phase or leslie you're using?

thanks,

Marin

Thanks Marin and Nomad. Glad you liked it. Was a blast to play along too.

As for the sound, well, some have called me a "fake" guitarist because i am using a Digitech GNX4. I used to have real amps and stuff but dont have the time nor the space to maintain all that stuff anymore.

The opening tone on that one is a preset modeled to get an Eric Johnson sound. I tweaked it a bit further with some cabinet modelling and phase.

Played thru an Ibanez RG370 with EMG Select bridge.

Of course there's always some bits of Ray creeping in...he's a huge influence. Thanks
