Les Paul dating [Archive]

My understanding post-1977 Les Pauls have an 8 digit serial #. What's the story if there's an LP that seems otherwise genuine, but has a nine digit #, with the first being 0? This guitar has a serial # of 0319506xx. It's a Deluxe with a Bigsby. Thanks.

I always see pictures of her with Lester, both holding a guitar, but I never looked at it that closely... If so, now I know the answer to the trivia question: what do Pete Townsend, Scott Gorham, and Mary Ford all have in common?
