Best affordable volume/line Booster for solos?

I was wondering what is the best and affordable line booster that will not add color to your tone. That will be added at the end of the signal chain..I'm currently using an Xotic EP booster. I like it in some ways but I dnt like putting it at the end of the chain cos it changes the tone..I think it changes the the tone in a good way but it's not what I'm seeking..I tried the MXR/CAE Line boost. It's good, but i'm considering other pedals..Any help is much appreciated! :rockin

Could you elaborate a little on your desired price range?

A good way to go could be the MXR M-108 10-band graphic EQ. It goes for around $100-$120 new, and you can precisely dial in the exact kind of boost you want by adjusting all the bands. For example, leave all the frequency sliders at 0 and just raise the gain slider for a great clean boost. The only downside to the MXR, in my opinion, is that it is 18v and comes with its own wall-wart, which can be an issue for some pedalboards.

There are other graphic EQs, such as the Boss GE-7, but they tend to add unwanted noise and hissing and would benefit greatly from a mod. I have heard good things about Analogman's mod, but mods will start costing you significantly more.

I have the Ep Booster also as well as a Barber Launch Pad, ehx LPB-1, and a SHO. To be honest my favorite is the $40 LBP-1.

I dig the micro amp, or the Mxr custom audio electronics line drive booster (the all black one). Micro is cheap, but i lucked out and got the black booster for 40.

The Barber Launch Pad is one of the best I have used, right now I'm using a EHX LPB1 that I had modified for a much cleaner boost that works very well at the end of your chain.
