View Full Version : Peenut Guy - leveling the playing field for 6/26

OK, here's the deal.
The "first" game is popular and has been for some time.
But it is a brutal, cut-throat sport that always leaves the thread full of the dead and dying.
So, today, we are going to have it structured as a manly, full of good sportsmanship, old fashioned race.

Endurance and pacing to claim first will be the deciding factors, not chance or whoever happened to be more sober and stumbled to his computer first.
The Peenut cartoon will be posted no sooner than 4:00 pm CST today - so the endurance is hanging in there for the post, and the pacing will be to make certain you arrange your business today so that you are in the race when the posting time comes.
By 4:00 pm CST those who follow PG will have read this and know what's going on, so it will truly be a race.

Hmm. Wonder if Ricman got this idea one Sunday morning when he was looking forward to reading the Sunday comics only to find out his paper was missing?! He then called the paper and got the, "Sorry, Mr. Ricman. We will get a replacement to you after 4pm!" :peenut

my paper forgot the comics once. I can't even remember the circumstances, my mind has blotted out the horror to keep me from sitting in a corner, babbling and soiling myself continuously since. I'm a creature of habit, and one of my strongest habits is my weekly comix fix.

oh, and I won't be around at 4 CSI or whatever that is time. Family is having big summer birthday party for all the summer birthday people, featuring my mom's 80th.
I only stumbled on first once, and I didn't even claim it. So much for blind ambition. :D

I don't play the "first game" and I love to read PG with my morning coffee. I see your point and idea, but only a few folks actually play that game. The rest of us have to wait because of them? It's just not fair Uncle Jim.

I've been first so many times, it's reedonkulus. I just don't play the "foist" game. I merely make my comments about that day's PG.

I'm going to wedding. I'll be the videographer staring at his smart phone at 5pm.
"how come you didn't get the bride throwing the bouquet?". "peanut guy!". "???"

This is gonna be like sniping on eBay.
I predict a slight rating drop in all of tv and radio at that moment.

I don't get it....the first one to view the comic has to post in the thread and wins?

It's even less complicated than that.
We're a simple bunch.
