i have a guitar pickup with two bare wires
1 red wire
and 1 white wire

i tested it with a meter to check and make sure they were all conductors, they werent

the white wire doesnt conduct electricity, and i dont know what all the other wires are, can someone help me understand what these 4 wires would be called and what they can trditionally be connected to in wiring a guitar?

i should have a hot, common, and ground right? or is this a whole different issue. please help me i really need to get this done.

Any idea what kind of pickup it is?

Do you continuity between the 2 bare wires?

Do you continuity between either bare wire & the red wire?

Do you continuity between either bare wire & the white wire?

Do you have a picture you can post?
