I've got a pretty beat up Morley power wah fuzz--doubtful i could get much for it, though it does function perfectly. Anyway, its way too big for me to bring to gigs, and i really dont think i need it for recording use only, so i was wondering if anyone had ever attempted to transplant the fuzz circuit into a small housing? make it a bit more gig-able, maybe?
I know, some people might say not to mess up vintage gear, but lets put that notion aside for the moment. Anyone done this? Anyone know a comparable fuzz sound? It sustains like crazy. I wouldn't say it's some flexible, perfect sound, but it's unique, and i hate getting rid of sounds things that i can't replicate in other ways.
