Can anyone tell me what pickups might be in Daniel's goldtop here...or what pups I might try in my own LP to go towards this kind of sound? I have a '91 LP Custom with 498/490 I believe. Thanks.

And for bonus points, the same query about this clip of Mr. Finn:

I'd imagine they are original P90 pickups.

The same P90's for both? Excuse the ignorance, I am an extreme newbie concerning pickups.

Back in the old days, there wasn't a "bridge" and "neck" with different windings. Essentially the same pickup was used in both positions. As for what pickups you should try- Your 498 is a very hot "modern" pickup. P-90s and mini humbuckers are lower output pickups. Depending on your budget, there are many options available. For a P-90 sound there are the Seymour Duncan Phat Cats or the Dimarzio Bluesbucker. For an all-around vintage humbucker sound you could move your neck pickup to the bridge position and put something like a '59 or burstbucker in the neck.

Finn's guitar looks like an old Les Paul Deluxe with "goof rings" around the mini-humbuckers:
