I recorded these as sample clips for two guitars that we completed last week. The first is about 45 seconds and the second is 30 seconds. There's no post production at all. No edits, no EQ and no added effects. Just the sound straight from the Pod HD to Garage band using the balanced line out into my pre-amp/usb adapter. The path is a Deluxe model with bias trem and spring reverb. That's become pretty much my standard patch both for recording and for playing through headphones.

I always like go back to listen a day or two later to see if I still like what I hear and listening to them this morning, I still think they sound pretty good.

Thanks guys. I'm off to Nashville tomorrow morning with both the HD Bean and HD 300 for the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society. I'll have a brand new Verve 8ma waiting for me and I'm bringing my new M-50 headphones. I'm not going to have a real amp at all so we'll see how a bunch of uber-clean fingerpickers like playing through my models.

Jim,

I'm going to be at CAAS as well. Looking forward to seeing you again and maybe picking you're brain with some more jazz questions. Are you going to have a Loon with you? I'm excited to try one. Hope you get in safe.

Is the Verve a loaner for the show? That looks like a quality box.....

How cool. I'll have a Loon prototype and four Goslings. What I won't have is my cell phone or any money. I'm at the airport with all my stuff but my phone and cash are sitting on my desk at home. :waiting

No. I bought it and had them drop ship it straight to the show. I loved the sound of my QSC K8 but I hated the fan so I sold it and the Verve is its replacement. Based all the reports I've gotten, I'm really looking forward to it.

Yes...the fan! Sort of an intermittent reminder that you have a KSC. Not a deal breaker for me, at least not yet.

Those tones are so drop dead gorgeous, perhaps the best I've heard from any modeler. They make me want to immediately run out and get an HD, except I've already got one.

I like 327 better than 328. 328 is too bright for my tastes.

Thanks Bryan. I've only had headphones for output for the last week or so and I've noticed in retrospect that everything I've recorded in that time was much brighter with a lot more high end sparkle. I don't think that the cans are less accurate as much as those being easy frequencies to fall in love with through headphones. I'll have new guitar for myself in about a week (finally) so I'll start getting a bit more serious about recording and refining things then. I look forward to you feedback (as always).

Jim, did you get a chance to play through the Verve yet? Looking forward to your impressions.
