thinking about buying this guitar. its new, but was damaged in the store.
its a rosewood neck obviously.
is this....
a) repairable?
b) would it be valid for a warranty claim since the dealer is selling it "as new"? (they are saying it has full warranty and they are an authorized music man, bfr dealer)
thanks in advance,

As new? That's a bunch of crap. It's certainly repairable, but no way in hell should that be sold for full price.

it's repairable, but i would stay away if you ever want to sell, unless you are getting it for ridiculously little money
btw it will have a full warranty, except that if it fails related to the neck or whatever hurt the neck, EBMM will certainly not cover it (and certainly not cover it at this point). and EBMM isn't really that generous when it comes to warranty work, so buyer beware. how much do they want for it?

ball family reserve petrucci
i wasnt in the market for anything in that price range, but over 50% off got my attention and got me thinking about it.

It looks as if it's already glued... but that might be the pictures lying... If not it can be repaired. It's mahogany btw. not rosewood - and it's far to expensive.

That's probably not a bad price, considering the cost of a new BFR Petrucci. You could, of course, offer them a grand and see what happens. It just depends on whether the repair will bother you too much in the future.

Repairable? ...absolutely, to good as new, strength-wise.
...but it ain't new, and has to be priced accordingly. I'd pick it up in a heartbeat if I wanted one, as the fair market price would be WAY less than "street" .
Your call.

are you sure? im pretty sure its being advertised as rosewood as it appears the fretboard and neck are all 1 piece.
edit:
