OK, another "does this amp exists?" question for amp aficionados who never tire of such inquiries. I am on a tone quest for an amp that produces both a nice "chimey" (sorry for the cliche) clean sound, a la The Edge, with a non-Marshall overdrive sound - more like a Hiwatt or an Orange, maybe??
If these OD tones are not compatible with a clean EL84 amp, then what are some possible alternative schemes to achieve this overdrive sound? Perhaps some pedals that are suitably compatible with, say, a Vox AC15 or 30, or a Dr Z Maz?
