The company's website reads "now taking orders" and somebody mentioned seeing it at Namm.

This was original shown during Namm 2009 (a couple of youtube videos still up) but until recently no news or info of any kind.

So, what's the deal? Anyone have any info or news?

Yep, I was at their booth at Summer NAMM and was told 8 weeks on the Giggity and Sparkle Drive MOD. I'll likely get a Sparkle Drive MOD. The Giggity did sound nice though.

Sounds exactly like the SD Pickup Booster. Too much of this stuff going on lately.

I had money down on a Giggity since March and finally gave up and got a refund when the word from NAMM was another 8-10 weeks...

Cool, thanks for the info. The Giggity looks/sounds very promising. I will be interested to hear if it does a nice transparent OD thing.

I like Voodoo Labs but it seems to take them an age to release new products to the market!

I heard the VL guy demoing the Giggity at Summer NAMM. He was playing a Strat, and getting a good, thick, sweet sound from it. Players seeking Eric Johnson's tone will love this pedal.

Hmmm, so it's a "higher" gain pedal (rather than a low gain, od)? When you mention EJ, do you think the Giggity can cop the tone of a Butler Tube Driver?

From what I've seen you would use it in conjunction with a Tube Driver or like OD - basically it would take your clean, bright Fender amp and turn it into a thicker, darker Marshall - at least that's one way to set it.
James Santiago has a vid on YT where he gets the "Cliffs" tone using a Tube Driver into a prototype of the Giggity into a Twin and pretty much nails it...

So it is more of a "foundation", amp in a pedal type pedal?
