Love Bogner. Ended many years of amp head searches when I bought my first Shiva in 2006. Though I dont own the XTC or Uber,etc... Love those amps too when I get my hands on em. So thought I'd start a Bogner Picture thread. Hope you all feed my need for Bogner Porn. Post all Bogner rigs past and present. I know we got some good ones out there... :bonk

back in the early "90s, reinhold built me some incredible custom amps. i would find old fenders and he would gut them and create some fire breathing monsters.
this was originally a princeton. i wanted a low watt bogner with all the throttle and gain of a 100b. this amp can run on either 6vs or 34s (sound familiar?).
clean channel is on the back.

gone but not forgotten.

i have a dual showman/ecstasy on it's way back to me right now that reinhold did around "93. incendiary device. 130 watts.

Matte, Ive had a couple of 'SUPER SHIVAs' over the years I got here on the gear page. Basically a Shiva with an extra gain tap activated thru the footswitch boost. Loved them but always felt the clean was a bit less the reg. shiva so never could claim them in the permanent collection. Maybe they were made for you originally.......Im sure that princeton melts face.

Bill, that 20th xtc is very cool and very retro in appearance. Havent got my hands on the 20th xtc yet but heard great things.

Bill, that 20th xtc is very cool and very retro in appearance. Havent got my hands on the 20th xtc yet but heard great things.

Yeah I like the plexi head shell. A very different amp than a 101B but still very much a Bogner. More upper mid voicing, more gain on tap and less compressed. I'm running KT88's in the 101B and the cleans on the 20th are every bit as full and rich. Still honeymooning with that one.

Well I liked alot of things about the uber as it was so he made the mod on the gain channel switchable (push/pull presence pot) so I could still have the stock craziness if I wanted but if you switch in the mod it gets into his roided out marshall mods which is where I hang out most of the time.

The stock clean was totally ripped out and originally had his shiva clean mod which was a really amazing clean but I dont really play clean all that much anymore so I went over there a while back and had him do something off the cuff, if I had to describe it I would say that it sounds alot like an AC30 but with more low end. Love it

I absolutely love that idea. My 412s are getting cumbersome as of late and I am 6foot4. So I love to have my amp heads up high too. Very cool.

How does it take pedals? Good as a clean platform or is it more of a plexi type thing? I've been looking at the Brixton but its too high gain for me... Also, you don't hear much about these.

'Bout time you chimed in, Nick!

I briefly owned an older EL34 Shiva 2x12. It sounded awesome but I sold it because it required a special cable for the loop to work properly and it was EXTREMELY heavy. I still have fantasies about that thing cranked up, though. Amazing.

I also owned a Bogner Goldfinger 45 for a brief time. It was cool but I couldn't gel with it. I like the 80's side of the amp better but it was much quieter and the boost was barely noticeable on that side of the amp. Cleans were glorious.

Brain cramp. I meant Boost Mod, the little knob between the Master Volume and gain channel's volume. Done by Tim Schroeder here in Chicago.

This is exactly the rig I want with one small exception. That would be the 52' Hot Rod Telecaster instead of the plain 52' RI. Simple and simply beautiful. Too bad the fella is banned.

Awesome set up as always steve! How do you like those marshall cabs? I thought about adding one to the rig but I dont think i could replace my 2 bogner 4X12s.

I love the Marshall Hendrix cabs. The G12Cs sound great and the cabs do too. I love the Bogner 4X12s too.

Cool! I go back and forth with mine. Like the Anderson and Chapin better but sometimes I really dig that strat. It gets a great sound!

I've had this amp for about 4 years now, and I haven't had GAS for another amp since.

Thanks! That is a Rasmus S102, Suhr's Asian version of the Pro Series. Same USA pickups, Gotoh hardware, Plek'ed, assembled/QC in USA, but half the price. They don't seem to have caught on but I love mine. Every bit as good as the Suhr S1 I had.

I played an Alchamist once and thought it was pretty good, at their prices now, a steal.

I played an Alchamist once and thought it was pretty good, at their prices now, a steal.

I knew that....I was just having a little fun. And yes....the Alchamist is a great Bogner amp!

Yup, you got it...not only is the Bogner made in China, but the Rasmus, the Kustom V100, and three of the guitars on the rack (Dean Hardtail, Agile 3100, Washburn X33) are Chinese, or at least Asian, too. And last night I traded in my G&L ASAT Tribute for a Schecter Solo 6! I think the only USA gear I have right now is my LP Trad Pro and Ovation.

Anyway, I do enjoy the Alchemist a lot. Lots of tube amp and Celestion Vintage 30 + Greenback cab goodness for the money.

My Twin Jet, this thing has more gain than any other amp I've ever owned.
Also my Caveman that's now a 2X12 cab with EVH Celestion speakers.

Buzzed, is this a 2x12 Shiva Combo? It looks like a combo that may have been turned into a head. Did you fill the hole on your own? Does Bogner do something like this? I'm interested in turning my 2x12 Shiva combo into a head, and would like to use the old comboshell/speakers as the cab, but I certainly don't want the hole there.

this 1994 bogner 100b ptp showman was built for me by reinhold himself, back in 1994. this amp churns out 140 watts @ full power. finest clean channel i've ever experienced on any bogner (and i've been playing bogners since they first dropped. sold one of my trainwrecks to buy a 100b back when wrecks were 1.2gs). the blue channel alone is worth the price of admission. more gain on tap on the red channel than even i'll ever use. currently loaded with old glass.

No 20th Shiva or XTC Classic in the pic but I do have a 20th Shiva 1x12 combo, both amps in the pic are 20th XTCs. (one is a 6L6 (a) and the other is an EL34 (b))

The Marshall cab was a custom ordered early 90s 1960 cab with rare check cloth, ply back and early 70s greenbacks. (I knew somebody at Marshall UK back then)

Love the check cloth. I think I've seen some anniversary Marshall cabs with it. Really nice.

And sorry, meant 20th x not 20th sheeves. Though I haven't seen a 20th with the reflector piece behind the knobs. Looks like a classic. Nice collection! Wish you were my neighbor :dude

The Strat is a walnut body that I made and finished. the bridge is (in this pic) a Wilkinson/Gotoh VSVG Vintage Tremolo from Stew Mac. That's how I got it back from a really bad setup, corrected now that I know more about the process.
