Where Are They Now? Red Witch

So I've been out of the loop for about a year since I started a
new job, got into a major car accident, bought a new car..bla bla bla.

I'm checking out Red Witch's web page, and it looks like nothing
has happened since they announced the Fuzzotron or whatever
that was for charity auction.

I no longer see the Medusa up there either...

Are they defunct?

Is Ben just really busy with the new baby?

What's the word?

Thanks for getting me up to speed!
I really like Ben's products, and I'd like to see more from him!

The Fuzzotron was a one time only run of five pedals. The Medusa has been retired. He's still doing the Moon Phaser and custom units. Some new stuff under development.

I think he's on tour with a band too.

The Medusa is pretty awesome. Sounds a lot like my early TC chorus, my early CE-2, a Boss VB-2, a really warm tremolo and more... too bad he discontinued them. I read a few negative things about them being noisy, but I haven't encountered that at all. My CE-2 is much noisier. I got it for a good price and figured I'd resell it after having some fun with it... wrong again!

The guy's one of the more interesting, non-overdrive(!) pedal builders out there IMO.

I have both the Medusa and the Moon Deluxe, I missed out on
the Fuzz because they shot up past my $500 limit.

I hope to score one used some day.

Yeah, my Medusa is noisey, but it's a classic, all analog kind of
noise. I'd be really surprised if Ben could figure out how to do
this much variety and warmth without noise!

I'm still lovin my Deluxe Moon Phaser. Sweet, rich, and organic sounding and doesn't kill your basic tone. I A/B'd it with my Mojovibe and setting 3 is really really close.
