Good guitars?

Here's an old FG-100 for example

Would you say these are better guitars than Ibanez's current hollow body offerings? I read that George Benson actually toured with one of these in the 80s and can be seen on one of his Montreaux appearances.

I think they are vastly superior to the current ones, if only because they look more like a classic L-5 style archtop. The current ones look cheap. I should qualify, the older ones are "like" an L-5 till you put them both on a scale or strap on your shoulder. The Ibenez may look hollow, but feel like they are filled with lead!

Good guitars? Definitely. By the early 1980s, Fujigen (the factory where Ibanez electrics were made) was at the top of its game.
