I have many. In addition to the standards, the following get the most use in my kitchen:

My mother has a couple of those old Bell's Best cookbooks that I'm fond of.

I think they are mostly found in and around Mississippi.

We have lots, but Cordon Blue at Home gets a lot of use, and many of techniques I learned there inform my own improvs in the kitchen.

Ordered both. Thanks for the suggestions. I actually had a copy of Bread Alone and can't remember who I lent it to (before I had the chance to put it to use)... must be a good one.

We have a shelf full of them but I always go back to Joy Of Cooking unless it is a specialty type recipe.

I have my mom's old Best of the Pillsbury Bake-Off 1959. What a time capsule.

We have a handful of Taste of Home annuals that are good for quick-fix recipes.

From my mom, I got a few of those self-published cookbooks that local organizations publish to sell as fundraisers. Those are great for regional specialties.

These two for...well, that's obvioushttp://images.betterworldbooks.com/051/Polish-Cookery-Ochorowicz-Monatowa-9780517505267.jpg
