No Cat Stevens in the poll? He gets my vote since he wrote the song. You can tell while he's singing where the real pain was. I do like the solo in Crow's version though.

I'll have to go with Cat. I like the vibe of the P.P. Arnold version and Sheryl's is a nice piece of stylized pop, but the original has the most heart.

Where's Rod(Stewart) ? AMAZING version off of his first solo lp, I believe, Gasoline Alley. Sheryl Crow's a drag.

Gotta go with Rod Stewart. Love the lead in that tune. One of my faves.
