View Full Version : How about some other boutique amps

MusicGearGuys

Until I can get my system up and running I am not able to post clips.

We seem to have alot of the same amp types in these post.

I love the talent that pours out of this forum, but how about a post of sounds from your smaller boutique amp manufactures?

Anybody game?

Gregory

The VHT clips sound great!
I always looked at them as straight 80's metal amp, but I was very wrong.

Matte, your links aren't working for me... The Carr did, but not the VHT, Bruno, etc..

And HOLY FREEP, the playing on that Carr clip is sick.

EdDG, outstanding as usual.

Everytime I think I might want to do a clip, I just listen to the above and remind myself why it's so unnecessary. :)

Awesome clips Ed!
All of them were killer. Man that JMP sounds nice. Wanna sell it?:D
Did you modify it in any way? Ever try THD Yellow Jackets in it?

Matte, yeah man I would love to hear those again.

Ed, BTW, I am bringing Chris Lasegue to the NAMM show.
Lets get you, Alex F, Chris L, Bob S, and the whole gang having jam at the THD booth.

Is Alex coming?
Yes I tried Yellow Jackets but prefer them in 100 watt JMPs. This one is an unmodded 50 watter. Except I'm running 5881s in it.

Back when I gave a shyte about Zwengel amps (:NUTS), I gave him some clips I recorded with a Banshee. The two below are my fav's for that amp.

My Zwengel Banshee 2 is a great amp. I've had nothing but friendly encounters and a real desire from Carl to tailor an amp to my wants.:dude

All I have that I can email someone to post is a clip I did live many years ago with a Boomerang, acoustic and electric guitars, and a EFX box.
If someone wants to host it.
It was before I knew what a Major scale was.
I play harmonics, tapping, slapping, chords with an acoustic, then solo over it all with a strat in a live situation.

Skrydstrup OD50 2 (http://www.maplemadness.btinternet.co.uk/stonehenge/stonehenge.mp3)

Ahh i miss my Skrydstrup, truly amazing amp. I regard is as a true pro amp that still has all the tone you could which. And the playing on these clips is great as well.
With pro amp I mean that it has a lot of different and good sounding tones in it. All tones, to me, are og extreamly high quality so the only thing missing from a Skrydstrup is a raw rock sound and tweed style lo fi sounds.
Which i had afforded to keep it...
