Empire owners...
I had the pleasure of playing through an Empire a few weeks ago at Make N Music in Chicago. The guitar was out of this world. I really loved it and I can't get it out of my head.
I played the amp without the footswitch, and just used the switch on the front of the amp to go between 1, 2 and 3. Without having used the footswitch I'm not familiar with how it works or how it's set up. I have seen what I believe to be an early version of the footswitch from the numerous YouTube vids. It looks to me like it has two switches, one to scroll through the channels and one to engage the bump function.
Is this the case - is it a two switch setup? Let's say you wanted to go from channel 1 to channel 3. Would you have to scroll past channel 2 before accessing channel 3? Any info you guys could provide to me would be most helpful.
Thanks.

Itīs a two switch setup, you can go channel 1 to channel 3, and you have to scroll channel 2 before accessing channel 3, but itīs very easy i.e. coz ch 3 is already *there* ..
You cant engage the bump with foot switch...
/sam
I think it works the same way the London Pro switch.
One button changes between 1 and 2 and the other one engages the 3, whatever channel you are.
I might be wrong but I think Dan explains how it works in one of his webcasts.

Thanks for the responses. I listened to probably 3 1hr long Lunch with Dan Boul's where he discusses the Empire and I thought I had watched all the Empire YouTube demos/discussions and I could find any reference to how the footswitch worked. The only one I can think of where it might have been discussed was the one with Loni Spector and "Amp Show and Tell" from Winter 2011 NAMM - but after Dan starts playing the amp, the mic stops picking up any vocal chat and the talking becomes lost.
Super excited by this amp. Still doing some digging before pulling any trigger.
Thanks again.
I don't remember what broacast is it but I remember it was with a guest and Dan was explaining to him how it worked. Maybe Mickael Burks!

That seems like a bummer to not be able to engage the bump via the foot switch...
Sam, I've really enjoyed your demos...can't believe you're selling the Empire!!!
