My daughter starts third grade Wednesday. She can't get to sleep tonight thinking about it. The good news is she is excited, but the jitters are definitely there.

Remember when school was all we worried about?

Just give her a hug and tell her that she's a very bright girl and that everything will be fine. There's not a whole lot more that you can do.

I just laid down and rubbed her back. She finally fell asleep. Poor kid. I forgot how stressful this was as a kid. But, again, she is happy and excited to go back. She loves school and her friends, and already knows her teachers. So, all will be good.

She said she won't marry until probably 40, so she can have a career first. Besides, boys are icky.
