I'm interested in seeing what effects other players are using... particularly those who play gretsch guitars and/or vox amps. My current setup is in my signature...

my main guitar is a tele, but I have a Gretsch historic series 3161 and an electromatic double jet that get played through my ac15.
in between(usually): swollen pickle mkii>dano TOD>FD2>Phase 90>dano CC vibe>TR2>carbon copy>TU2
mostly basic stuff, and although it's tweeked for the teles single coils with a few tweeks (mostly on the swollen pickle) it's good to go on the gretsches
hope this helps.

i play a thinline tele with an ac15, however my friend plays a gretsch duo jet electromatic on it every week for church, and he uses my pedalboard as well. Timmy>Little Green Wonder> DD-20> RV-5. Leave the timmy on all the time for a boost. it sounds great every week, but i would say with the pedals and how the amp is setup, its a bad idea to used anything but the bridge pickup on the gretsch. If you do, it gets really muddy and does not sound very good. Im sure if we dialed it in for the other pickups, it would sound good though!

The board has changed since this phote. I added a big muff clone and a Hartman Flanger and additional looper with two loops are on their way.

Cool man, he is one of my favorites as well! If you are looking for his tone, it is a great pedal. It is very low mid heavy, which makes it seem "smokey" i guess you would say. I like that, but at the same time it wouldnt be good as your only OD on your board. If you have another pedal to run with it, it is an awesome change up to normal drive pedal sounds!

Honestly the only thing that has kept me from getting the LGW is that I already play a Duo Jet, with a Rat, into a Vox... Copy Cat Much??? Oh well, I can get pretty close to his normal OD sound when I need to with my Timmy since I'm playing a Gretsch/Vox combo.

I too run a timmy, and i thought the exact same thing, until i tried the LGW. I was honestly surprised at the difference! I love the timmy, and it sounded great on that stuff, until i tried the LGW, and now its almost exact! I am planning on putting up some JC covers on youtube in the near future, ill let you know when i do so you can hear the LGW in that setting.

And how is the rat? did you mod it? I am looking for a higher gain pedal, possibly a rat!
EDIT: saw the reply in the other thread, didnt realize that was you! Anyways, how do you use the rat most? I am looking for something to use in the standout parts that need the most gain, maybe like the intro of "rooftops" or some heavier hillsong stuff, how does it handle that stuff?

No mods. It's a stock, made in china. Rooftops I use the Timmy cause it's currently my lead overdrive pedal. I have used the Rat for 'Break Free', 'Go', 'The Time Has Come' to name a few Hillsong tunes... as far as Jesus Culture I think it nails the intro to 'Come Away', and the bridge lead part for 'Dance With Me' (I stack it with the Timmy to push it a little into Fuzz teritory).

The GigRig is great. The looper itself is very flexible with different switching modes and the power supply that comes with it is the only one you'll ever need. Very happy with it.

I play a TN Rose into a Vox AC15. Main board pedals are in my signature below.

Silver Jet > FX > Vox AC30CC
FX Signal Path serially is:
Guitar > Hardwire HT-6 Polyphonic Tuner > Morley Bad Horsey > Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic > Voodoo Labs Pedal Switcher.
FX in the parallel switcher loops:
MXR EVH Phase 90
EHX Deluxe Memory Man w/Hazarai
DOD 250 Overdrive (TB Mod - totally unnecessary BTW)
Digitech Crossroads (Set on Leslie Sim)
Output is split to:
Vox AC30CC
Digitech DF-7 for direct Amp Sims to the House (I'm giving away a bit of a secret by disclosing this)
I've been using this setup for quite a while now (years) in a variety of live situations and it has always sounded great.

What power supply? Is it built in or are you just talking about the Generator?

Hah, I just saw that if you purchase the GigRig they include a free Generator... NM ;-)

Yes, the Generator. Comes with a gigrig pro8 or pro14, but can also be ordered separately. 5000 mA and easily extendable. Very nice power supply.

I use dual AC30 custom classics, both bright cap modded with full JJ tube sets. One has celestion blues, the other has greenbacks. I use mostly teles and les pauls, with the occasional strat or hollowbody electric.
Here's my board:
