Loll!!!
I love ToneQuest but thats about the most expensive B=W magazine I know about. I had a subscription a coupleof years ago but these days it's just too damned expensive for me.
It's too bad but if the mag was priced 50% cheaper, the publisher would have 10 times as many subscribers or OTOH, if he offered an "online only" subscription, he'd save money and increase readership to boot.
My old controline model airplane organization (PAMPA) went to "on-line optional" subscriptions/memberships and it saved them a lot of $$$ and actually increased membership!
Yep! TQ is a great publication!

Good content but not enough of it for the money. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. For the money they charge it is unacceptable.

Good for Henry and Redplate!
I've been absolutely loving my Blackverb... it's such a terrific and versatile amp.
Looking forward to hearing Henry's tweed circuit..

enjoyed the "good" articles -found it spotty for the money-I agree, about 1/2 of going rate sounds about right

in short, they said:
blackverb: versatile amp. kinda like the top 40s amp. can do metal if needed.
tweedyverb: versatile amp but slanted towards more traditional tones (black/brown/tweed. vintage marshall if you push it)

The current TQR is posted on the Lee Jackson site, so apparently TQR has been paid a content fee.
Tone quest is way overpriced.... That mentality alone keeps me away
