VHT Pitbull 50CL head $750.00 good deal?

Hello,
Locally on CL I am looking at one of these for $750.00. Really tempted, but I really don't know anything about these amps. What can you tell me as far as tone, what they do? It seems like it would be fairly Marshally in basic flavor, but beyond that? What don't you like about them? This seems like a pretty darn good deal. No rips in the tolex, and in quite good condition. Any inherent design flaws?

Sorry, just trying to help, as I almost bought a Pitbull combo last year for $800, and ended up researching it here.

FYI, theres a Pitbull 50ST for sale in the emporium for $1200, one with EL 84s and the 'clean' channel, I believe:
