Ok... by far the coolest sounds I have heard recorded with an amp modeler! What is your recording setup?

Great playing as always!

Thanks, Chris..very nice of ya.

That's the XT Pro DIRECT 100% - sounds convincing, huh? I think I do have some better clips direct with it than this...I just thought this was a good sample of using both, real mic'd amps and a 'direct' lead with a modeler (this was my take over another guy's backing track, I'm only doing the noodling here - he mic'd some sort of Boogie combo for the rhythm stuff). I use a Roland 1824cd to record everything - haven't got myself around to the software/PC stuff yet...maybe when my little Cd project is done, I'll take that plunge!

Great job Derek!

Thanks man! Being new (and coming from the calibur players I think tonegod and yourself are, amongst others) that goes along way, makes a newb feel very welcome, too nice. :)

there's something about modelers and pick noise that can't fool me. Though very cool playing and tones !

I'd love to get ahold of that backing track to fool around with.

btw, exceptional job, my friend.

i gave joey dahlia`s willie a listen :D

id never heard the guy play but ive read endless crap where he is advising guitarists how to play , from what i heard in his clip, he never even grabbed the notes by the shoelaces let alone the balls , tentative and afraid of a bum note is just how it sounded to me, like a rabbit in the headlamps playing.

im glad i heard him, he plays nothing like he would have you believe that he can.

Well, in my defense, he's done this before, and it wasn't a drum loop, but rather an entire backing track. But thanks for pointing it out to me ::: red face:::
