Well, I decided to try an Aqua Puss delay (the new reissue) and I freakin' love it!
I've used delay in multi FX pedals for years and recently put a cheaper digital delay on my board and keep the mix down pretty low just because I thought that's how they all should be.
I played Saturday evening with the Aqua Puss and after the first song I could tell a difference. The delay actually sounded good and didn't sound cold and sterile. I turned the mix up more than I have ran it in the past few years and I really like it. I don't go over 300ms, so it's the perfect pedal for me. If I don't sell my digital delay, I may put it back on my board for the slow rock songs we sometimes cover that use real long delay times...... But other than that, I really have no need for it and the Aqua Puss will work just fine.
Never thought a delay could add life to your tone, but it did........ Love it!
