A guy at my local shop recommended this to me. Looking for a personal review. Sounds very interesting from the specs, but they dont have one in stock for me to play. Anyone play/own one? Thanks

Haven't seen one yet but based on my prior experience with Godin, I bet it's nice.

Played one. Great guitar. Very resonant. I love the 16' radius and chambered body. It's the Swiss Army Knife of guitars. From what I gathered, it'd be stellar for recording situations. The P-Rails are extremely versatile, but if you want a great humbucker, stratty-single coil, p-90 guitar you might look elsewhere. It does all of these well, just not great. The Icon convertible really adds its own flare to all of these sounds. All in all, I don't think you can beat the price for all the options. You've got a plethora of sounds at your fingertips, and an extremely playable guitar.

Yeah, the idea of having a single-coil, p-90 and humbucker sound in one guitar is great.... if it performs these sound convincingly. The way these are made is interesting also. Apparently they take a somewat different approach to setting the neck/painting the guitar so as to ensure wood to wood contact. I really wish I could play one.
