And sound and play like nothing else in the whole wide world. :dude
I have 3 of 'em, and they have put anything I've ever played to shame. I have great tone. Now I just need a miracle to get all the notes right...:D

what's not phallic about guitar? and rock music in general? sweaty guys grasping their shafts "feeling it".

Had an early Zachary .. with the tone holes.
Awesome guitar, great tone, but boy skinny neck!
It does put a lot of guitars to shame though, kinda wanting to get a F1 his new Tele style guitar ..

I like those D1's. Which one do you have?
Other guitars do feel wrong. Most of them feel disgusting. The better ones just feel awkward and wrong. It's cured me of GAS where guitars are concerned. Amps on the other hand...:D

Is that the USA model? ;) It looks like surprisingly like an artist's interpretation of the shape of the U.S.
Interesting instruments, but the main thing I remember about Zachary guitars were the videos of Zachary "shredding."

Alex is a wild guitarplayer. Check out the videos with Bobby Simcox on the video page if you like shredding. The man's a maverick. :dude

You mean you sold it? Uh oh....

Yup sold the Z ... and to be honest I prefer my Mayes C. That is not a knock on Alex and his work .. really a great guitar, but for me the neck was just too skinny.
And of course I've gone towards Tele sound.

I've seen his first VHS promo video 3 or 4 times and I honestly don't think I've laughed so hard since. :D

I have 3 different ones, each with a very different neck. The thinnest one is on my Z2 Namaste. The first rosewood neck, and the thinnest one Alex ever made.
Plays like butter. There is something about that guitar that makes me want to play FAST all the time.
Thin necks don't bother me, but I hate narrow necked guitars.
Selling your Z is bad mojo man. Though if it hasn't come to haunt you at night yet, you'll probably be ok. :D

They are "get'm get'm" straps. Loads of different radical designs. A local store here carries them, but you can get them online too.

Never got past the funny look. Also, the rant he had against PRS saying it was nearly diabolical guitars, kind of frigthening :)
i've never been able to get past the fact he feels the need to
badmouth another manufacture in order to sell his instruments..let your instruments selll on their own merit..if you will...
.....kinda " Romanish" IMO
i do however like some his designs.Very different and unique, i don't really care for the headstock either though

i have mixed feelings about this. i think the reason alex is so full of vitriol against the BIG guitar makers is that he thinks everyone is being duped, and he wants to shock them out of their hypnotized-by-AAAAAAAAAAA-tops daze. i do think it makes him look a bit undignified, and it takes the focus away from his splendid guitars.

well, that should be more than enough reason to keep people from buying them. Wouldn't want any bad mojo.

Never stopped me man. Then again, I'm a player, not a guitartrader.
