View Full Version : Eminence the Wizard ,Funk slap guitar more to come...
I was just listening my Wizard sound clips. I have recorded so many clips.
Personally I love my Tonespotter a bit better than the Wizard. Now I like
the Wizard's chunky fat tone too. Would you like to hear other od sound with this?
These are my slap guitar. Ideas from my AYGP ex 26.
My Fender SRV Strat, Fuchs ODS SLX 50.
Bob Burt V-front with Eminence the Wizard.

Slap Guitar slow #1 (www02.homepage.villanova.edu/david.kaplowitz/tomo/Wizard_SRV_Slap_slow_1.mp3)
What would you like to hear?
Any request?
Tomo
I love your slap guitar stuff Tomo - you rock! :dude Thanks for posting these.
The Emi Wizard sounds wonderful with the ODS. The Fuchs ODS 50, the Fuchs 1x12 combo enclosure, and the Wizard sound so great together!
If your taking requests I'd love to hear some low gain bues playing - amp overdrive through the Emi Wizards.
Thanks again Tomo!

Glad you liked my slap stuff.
Yes, the Wizard with ODS sounds great!
I don't have 1 12 combo, but everyone loves it.
Sure! Hope this clip is good for low gain blues playing.
Fuchs od tone shuffle blues (www02.homepage.villanova.edu/david.kaplowitz/tomo/Wizard_SRV_Shuffle_OD_1.mp3)
I have more slow blues somewhere.

Hey Scott,
You are amazing player! All your sound clips are
great. No matter what speakers you use, you get
your tone all the time. Specially your phrasing!
How you do that?
I have been practicing my groove lately.
Got into swing, some funk.
I love melody playing too. Thanks.

You like my walking bass stuff? I will send you
some chord solo stuff. Actually you can transcribe
some... How about some standards chord melody?
I can't play fast.... but I can play with a lot of
dynamics 0 to 100.
Thanks.

I was just working on one of the demos from your DVD.
I posted my "Eminence's the Red White & Blues' thread.
Check it out. I played chord melody "Giant Steps"
I use mostly simple voicings. Melody on 1st or 2nd
strings. Anybody can do this. This is a part of my
lesson on chord melody.
If you could transcribe my demos from my AYGP dvd,
many people would like that. I can send it to
Rittor Music's "Tomo's AYGP series web"
Thanks,
Tomo

Man, I LOVE it. GREAT playing, Tomo! I went through a phase when i was slapping a lot of bass, and translated it to guitar, but sometime in the early 90s i got obcessed with The Meters and other late 60s - early 70s funk/soul, and moved away from slap completely. Now i have no slap chops ;)
