Here are two more takes on Journo's cool backing. I am so stoked over the buttah smooth tones! I think am done! LOL (famous last words)
Clip 1: One of my Fuchsen into Wizard speaker http://www.scottlernermusic.com/august/ModTrimIdea420snub.MP3
Clip 2: Fig's (Greg's) Fuchs/Bassman handtuned mod into Wizard speaker http://www.scottlernermusic.com/august/GregModDone.MP3
For those of you who don't know Fig, he is a badass player and composer. He is gonna do this amp proud.
Just two quickies done this morning. No EQ added at all.

Hey Scott,
Great tone! Very silky, round smooth tone.
Loved it. Great playing man!
I have been checking out my recording (with the Wizard).
Great speaker.

Scott, that sounds great, but when are you gonna learn, that tone is in your hands, you can't *not* sound like that!
I love your use of dissonance.

Another excellent job Scott.
I love the way that with a small difference in picking force the highs tend to stand out. A very dynamic and smooth sound.

Nice to know these amps will do this. Looks like I can plan on selling off about $3K of very nice ODs when you get done with mine.
I'm trying hard not to feel like I need to wedge in an hour or two of daily practice after hearing all the bjorkin' quality players here--or, at the very least, trying hard not to feel frustrated that 20 mins a day seems to be it. :(

Scott, that tone is so tastefull and creamy that make my mouth water! please, donīt let your guitar/gear near to me! I could add them ketchup and bbq sauce and gobbling as a hungry pig!. BTW, you are into some incredible new armonic/melodic approach in this both clips... my face was "Scott Henderson like twisteding" while listening that...wow!!! more ever for studying from you...

Amazing tone:dude . You're Fuchs sound a LOT like my Mystique Blue Star Proto, it feeds back on the same frequency and sound fat and chewy. Not as smooth and polished as most D-style amps. As Frankenstrat says you can obviously get those Landreth/Lindley/Lowell tones as well as the more common LC ands RF sounds. Oh the playing is great, but you know that ;) .
BTW, what microphones are you using ?? Im looking for a cheap complement to my SM57.

Great tone, Scott. Very rich and creamy. Hmmm...420snub. Is that the value you used on the V2 snubbers? Did you dial the feedback in with the PI trim pot? Do I ask too many questions? :D

Very nice, sounds like Holdsword meets Robin Ford. Brilliant smooth tone. Would love to hear it through an Aphex Xciter or BBE Sonic Stomp with a tad (more?) analog delay. Just my taste, but very nice accomplishment in the quest for ultimate tone! Thanks!

Been going through some of the archive clips for fun...
Whoa Scott ... damn bro...
Great tone yeah of course ...
but it's your damn note choice & playing that really counts ...
You're one of the few guys who note choice makes me get out my axe & say...
Okay, what did Scott just do right there ...??
I've gotta so be able to hear that in my own head
You go bro ...

Scott - your tone is indeed smooth as buttah, but to my ear, its also dark! There's no top end sparkle whatsoever!
But truth be told, I really don't care - your playing is spot on!!! :AOK

I was thinking the same thing "where's the top?" but either way it sounds great. Goes to show that note choice and phrasing is way more important than a few Khz one way or the other.

Holy crap that's nice tone (and playing) - I have a '66 Bassman that I have been wanting to have the 'bass' ch modified for overdrive - I'd sure like it to sound fat and smooth like this.
Does Fuchs still do modifications? Any suggestions for a source (or even the info to do it myself).

Once again, I don't know what kicks my ass more, the tones or the lines! I just got my Fuchs mod back from Andy, need to get more familiar with the beast.

That's amazing, considering it's a crappy, gritty Wizard...not to mention I'm playing it back on a laptop! Would love to hear that through my Port City with G12-65s. Send it on over and I'll confirm "ModTrimIdea420". :D
