I am trying to clean up my baord and was wondering if any of my ODs can be taken off. Right now I have the following on the board:
Effectrode Tube Drive
TS808HW
Bearfoot Honeybee
Ethos Overdrive
Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe
Part of me thinks I could probably get away with pulling the 808 and the Pinnacle off (I don't use heavy distortion).
Any thoughts?

Hmm, I never used the Tube Drive, but they seem fairly different. I would guess the Tube might be closest to the Honey Bee - fairly flat eq overdrive? I would personally keep the TS and Honeybee at least... I occasionally like distortion and the Pinnacle is awesome, but if you don't need it, sell it.

Since they're all there in front of you I suppose the best judge is you and only you.

Keep the one that cuts through best live, and the one that stacks the best with it. Theres no reason at all to have 5 overdrives on a board. Nobody in the bar will notice the difference.

:agree
While some of us may own/have owned some of those, I strongly doubt anybody has that exact combo of pedals. On top of that, many OD's are so versatile that you can have 2 of the same one without redundancy. If you use all of them, then alright.

This is TGP - since when does anybody around here know ANYTHING about reduncancy? :aok
I used to have a ton of dirt on my board....They're only attached with velcro, so you could just say you're going to get down to 3 and then try different combinations until you find what you like....then if you play out, start to strip off/swap out to what you actually use/need.
If you're playing at home, really is no problem to have all those on board unless you need the space for something else...otherwise, it's just trying stuff out until you have what you like/want/need
