Don't want to talk about wars and all that stuff, so no direct links. Just want to point out that in the midst of a time of craziness, you can find a dude who's chasing his bliss.

Andrew Simon, ye are an internet user above my kin, scoring the original source from the http address in the pics, but yeah that's the site i got it from. Hey, not on my dime if you want to create a direct link to the bigger article, but nothing nefarious on my end in the original post, it was just a lazy grab and paste on my end.

and btw the guy with the tan pants and sandals with backwards baseball cap in that pic is obviously a Pub member on TGP. :wave

I'm not so sure. The gettyimages.com website has three photos of this guy holding the guitar. So unless the photographer 'shopped the images before submitting them, they are legit.

Look in the eight row of pictures.

You guys missed the point. The whole firefight was ABOUT how high he wears his guitar. His friends (poor fashion choices notwithstanding) are defending him from some militant Harmony Central lowslung guitar fanatics.

He's takin one for TGP High Ride Guitar team.

His buddy taking the hot brass on his open footwear deserves TGP Medal of Freedom.

Glenn D.
10-12-2011, 09:28 AM
Doubt it is a 50 cal, but it does appear that he has poor choice in combat footwear.

I'd be more concerned that the yay-hoo behind him doesn't appear to worry too much about having buddies out of his field of fire.

Edit: The Russian Kord 12.7mm is fireable from the hip, albeit with a serious accuracy problem, but the rounds in the a-gunners hand in the second photo look too small to be anything bigger than 7.62mm.

The right hand looks like he could be strumming with his thumb (dropped his pick amongst all that brass I guess), but the left hand looks fishy, more like it ought to be supporting the foreend of a gun. But heck, maybe it's an open tuning...

Popular with the Indians South of the border during the Revolution of 1910

If Im not mistaken La Cucaracha was a popular tune of the revolutionary forces. And Siete Leguas (Seven Leauges) which I believe was a tune about Pancho Villa's horse
