Found this little snippet lurking on my site. Recorded a couple of years ago. POD XT. Just a quick demo of Stella recorded for someone on Guitar.com.
Yea Tag... I know. More clean tone straight ahead stuff.
Notice, no Robben licks...

Fwiw, the Pod ain't half bad for over processed Boston inspired jazz stuff. :D

I really like it. The tone and the groove both feel really relaxed. It works very well.
I have a customer who uses a POD XT as the pre-amp in his gigging rig for straight ahead jazz and he swears by it. If this is close to the tone he's getting then I can understand his point.

Too much reverb/delay - kind of obscures the playing/time (not that you would/should give a toss what I think)...
You should play clean like this more often, Scott. Excellent playing.
I wasn't crazy about my POD, but yours sounds pretty good.

Scott ...that was a gig in a lonely church ? :p lol just kidding, to much reverb yeah, the exquisite soloing is the point here to me, articulation & phrasing /timing ...great! btw I remember your clip over Song for my Father with a nice small archtop/solidbody tone like Pat Martino, what did you use on it ..Pod?

Would be nice to hear the tune w/ bands that interact more - pretty straight running of the changes, not much interplay... Could almost pass being over backing tracks a la Aebersold... Preferred the trio take as there was no clash w/ the sax.

Couldn't agree more. Tough to find the players.... I'd kill to sit in with you guys!

Happy you took the comment as it was intended. I sure learn a ton from (and am humbled by) the players I have the privilege to work with... Gives me some faith/confidence in what I do, yet reinforces where I still want to get too, ya know? No room for arrogance/complacency - music/improv is a complex, but rewarding journey... Ears wide open. ;)
