George L's .155 or .225?

whats the difference between the George L's .155 and .255?

The insulation is thicker on the 225, thats it. Its a bit stiffer, and IMHO a little better for long leads.

Also no difference between the red and the black other than color.

Thats just the thickness of the cable .155 is thinner.

I had the same question. Does the thickness make and sonic differrence? Does the thickness prevent signal loss?

I generally use the .225 for long cables that could be more mistreated, guitar -> pedalboard and pedalboard -> amps, and use the small one for all the inter-effects wiring

The .225 cables taste different. No I am just like Anje, I use the .225 cables from guitar to pedalboard and from pedalboard to amp. I like the GeorgeL cables versus MonsterCables. I have not used Mogami for the same applications, so I can not comment. I have Mogami 2425 in some of my racks and use it for patch bays and such.

IMHO use the smaller size for patches and don't use the others at all for cables.

the Klotz La Grange is a great entry level high end cable that really will take your tone up a couple of notches


and FYI.....the best thing I ever did for my tone was buying an Evidence Audio Siren II for my head to cab cable.....I did a shoot out with a high end Monster cable, planet waves, Evidence Audio Siren and Siren II and the Siren II blew everything out of the water.....I couldn't believe the sonic difference the speaker cable and internal cab wiring made...WOW

I picked up the Planet Waves Cable Kit a few months ago. Excellent quality! Very easy to assemble with many gold plated plugs provided. I've gigged with it a bunch of times without fail. Just wanted to let others know about a product that works.

or... be smart and use a buffer. I use Fredric-Effects buffer... it's the same buffer from the Klon. Tim Webster is great to deal with.. he even custom made me some pedals to my own specs.
