Love all my V-Picks. Having met Vinni at Nashville NAMM 09 it was like meeting a long time friend right off the bat.

I probably have 50 in my collection. I really like them.

He was the guy that came up with his system and marketed it because he as a player < have you heard him play ?? wow> had a passion for it.

He was the innovator and makes wonderful picks.

Love them! My fac is currently the Screamer, with Dimension jr coming close.

But I do want to order a colossal and a snake to try out though.

Just got my first couple v picks today at the Austin Guitar House . . . it was like magic when I picked up the pick shape that my fingers liked. So natural. Really couldn't believe the difference in feel, the tone, etc - new v pick fan.

The small pearly gates is one of my favorites and one I recommend to anyone who asks what I use/recommend they get. I wish we carried them. I just ordered 5 more, because I usually give them to my good customers or any "boutique guy" I come across.

I even sent back a Blue Chip because I liked the sound of the V pick better.

How's that "duet"?

It wouldn't be my #1 pick, but it does work for creating a cool harmony effect. It'd be worth having in the studio.

How do you guys get around the clack ?
They feel great but the clack even comes through the amp.

Agreed

I don't mind it at all; all picks make noise, the nature of dense, stiff picks' noise is just a different kind than thinner, flexible picks' noise. And I do love me some v-picks. I want a Tradition and a Tradition in the Onyx material, niiice.

Pearly Gates Screamer for guitar, Large Ultra Lite Pointed for acoustic and Psycho for bass. Absolutely love them. I tried going back to my old favourite - Dunlop 208 - recently and I couldn't stand the feel of them. Tone was noticeably not as good too.

Have you tried the regular screamer? I want to try the pearly gates myself

How's that "duet"?
It has its uses. I found myself at a pickup gig a few weeks back, and the band wanted to play Joan Jett's "Love is Pain." I used the Duet to nail the rhythm sound with high gain. All the overtones were shining through!

I wish it were a tad thicker myself. When not using the double tip, I can turn it around and use it like a regular pick. If it were the thickness of the Screamer, for example, I could use it all the time.

Pearly gates is a great pick for me. All of them are game changers really - but Vinni really got the diensions perfect on the small pointy.

I have tried the Ruby Red, the Nite Glo and the Pearly Gates. I'm terrible with dropping things and the idea of a clear pick bothers me. :bonk After spending a good deal of time testing them and listening to the differences my order of preference is Pearly Gates (1), Ruby Red (2) and Nite Glo (3). The differences aren't huge, but the Pearly Gates just sounds a bit more balanced to me. The other two were slightly harsh in the high treble end of things for me - although no-one else would ever notice the difference and they all sounded good. I would use any of those before going back to the Dunlop 208s that I was using before.

I don't mind the Psycho being clear though - if I ever drop that one, it's big enough that I will probably find it when I stub my toe on it. :rotflmao

Every V-Pick that I've used has its own character and feel. For instance, the unbuffed picks really add sparkle and harmonics to overdriven tones and the thicker picks add bottom and punch to chords and lead lines. The Diamond is a really interesting pick in that the attack is so smooth it's almost like playing with your fingers. Not really any pick noise and the highs are more mellow, great for jazz or taming single coils to sound thicker.

I've had the opportunity to experiment with the colored models and let me say I like them even better than the clear acrylic :omg To me, they are grippier and sound every bit as good as the others and look COOL! The blue, green, and smoke colored prototypes I've seen and played are very nice looking and as Vinni has stated before - he carefully chooses his colors and materials and it shows. They look NOTHING like other colored picks I've ever seen in that they are deep, rich colors and feel great in your hands, like your holding something that was "crafted" and not blown out on an assembly line or on cheap machinery.

:agree

Vinnie sent me a free Switchblade with my last order and I've really been enjoying it. I've actually been using it to play acoustic a bit lately - which I initially didn't like it all for. Sounds beautiful for overdriven single note lines.

I have a two of them as well that I use and LOVE and I find they are are really smooth sounding on electric guitar. On acoustic I dont care much for them.

With the Pearly Gates, I don't get any clack or chirp. The glow in the darks used to be my favorite, but I couldn't get around the chirp so went back to Jazz IIIs. the Pearly gates solved my issues.

I am a fan of the Dimension jr and the Diamond for some applications, but I never really latched on to any of the other clear picks due to the chirp issue.

Not only are the picks great, but Vinni and Mrs. V are the best. I ordered a trio of PG Screamers, and didn't end up liking them. I e-mailed Vinni with my critique, asking which pick would be better for my needs, and mentioned that I'd gift the screamers to folk to try to get them interested. Vinni wrote back and said something like, "hey, bro, here's the pick you want. And just send the screamers back to me. You shouldn't pay for something you don't want." Ever heard someone say that?

Now I'm a devoted large pointed fan. V Picks forever!

Vinni and Mrs. V are good people, period. When I play with my V-Picks, I feel great because I know all about the effort, the care, and the professional customer service that goes into every step of the process, from selection of raw materials to the final shipping.

I have about 6 or 7 different sizes and thicknesses of V-Picks... but the clear Small Pointed is the one I always go back to. Just makes my guitar come alive, and feels great in the hand. Not come across another pick like it. I don't hear any "clack", just the sound of the guitar - maybe it depends how you pick. I should probably order some more as I only have 5 (lost one at a gig :( ) and I have a run of gigs coming up soon.

V-Picks put all other picks into the box :aok

I like thick, pointed versions: Screamer, Snake and Diamond.
I use Medium pointed and Psycho pointed from time to time too :)

I have some PG Screamers on their way to me right now - they should be turning up sometime this week, so every time the postie comes down my street I get excited... and then disappointed.
