I wanna swap out the Fender humbuckers for SD PAF's....I'm already getting a new pickguard cut for regular sized 'buckers. But what spacing should I buy? Do I go for the Fender spaced ones, or will the gibson spaced work? I know the Fender-spaced is made for a strat bridge, but IDK the bridge spacing for somethingl like a hardtail tele

F-Space my friend :)

You should of kept your original pick-guard and got a set of Lollar Regals, IMHO. A LOT less of a pain in the ass, and a lot of great tones too.

I got a custom pickguard made from WD Music to fit normal sized humbuckers for my CAR Tele Deluxe. I have a set of Duncans going in, a Custom and a Jazz in the neck. I need to find the time to finish the wiring...

I believe the routs in the 72 Deluxe if it's the made in mexico version are not deep enough for standard hums. The Lollars are the way to go otherwise get ready for some body work.

Standard hums fit in mine.
