They are supposed to be close, but I did not really like the Wizard. I love the G12H30!

Ditto about the Wizard. Didn't turn my tail at all.
The WGS 30 watt Reaper, however, is one of the best speakers on the market.
I like it more than the G12H30 by leaps and bounds

Can you compare the Reaper and the G12H30. I hear a lot of people say they like one or the other better, but few go into details.

I tend to like Fender, single coil type guitars. That being said, I'm always making sure I don't have the 'ice pick-in-your-ears' brightness.
I think the Reaper smooths out the brittle top end of a stock Strat or Tele pickup, yet yields the clarity and note definition that single coils are associated with.
The G12H30 seemed to me to be always begging for more mid range. Rolling off the treble on the amp only seemed to deaden the tone.
In short, I just think WGS stuff works WITH the amp, not necessarily stamping it's own footprint on the sound.
Hippie Trippy, I know.
I've gotta go punch myself.....

Haha..I hear you. It's hard to compare tones with words, but that helped quite a bit. Thanks.

Just got a g12h in my Egnater Tweaker 1X12. I kinda dig it, sounds good mixed with the Eminence GB12. I agree that the WGS is the one I would try if I were looking for an alternative. Their speakers just rock.
