Just want a comfortable strap--3"-4", no designs, embroidery, not picky about materials, as long as it is comfy--thinking leather, but neoprene might be nice.
One thing--I am 6'7" and wear my guitar low. I need it to be 66", with a little play longer and shorter. Suggestions?

I just ordered a couple of Italia straps yesterday. They had a sale recently, so I figured I'd give them a shot. It looks like they're pretty amenable to customized orders, plus they look like they are pretty nice -- leather, reasonably priced. Might want to check them out. -- italiastraps.com

Levys makes long straps without decoration.

Or do what a friend did, connect 2 together to make it longer. He did a nice job of it too.

The most comfortable straps, I find, are those basic cheap, black, Ernie Ball straps.
Don't know if they stretch out to 66" though, never had to try!
I find thick leather straps to annoying.

I make simple leather straps as you describe.
Mostly for my friends and myself, not as a business.
They're pretty nice.
I can custom size it for you.
PM me if you like.
Here's one that's got some silver lettering, but that can be left off.

Italia for sure. I have four of them.
Simple, no metal buckles or do-dads to ding your guitar, soft real leather and they will make it the way you want. You can have a smooth backing or not and your desired length.
AND, they are almost always on sale two for one.(that's around $35 each)
Just send them an email, tell them what you want and they get right back to you

Levy's long is the longest I've found, but still not freakishly long enough to satisfy me LOL. Now your friends idea however is straight up brilliant, can't believe I haven't thought of it before and I really appreciate the suggestion!

Idk man, I've gone through every strap under the sun, and there's still nothing that feels as natural as the standard Ernie Ball strap. It's easy, it's cheap, TONS of professional musicians use it, and with a set of strap locks it ain't going anywhere. Also, it can get VERY long, so it'd be great in your case. Spend $4 and try it out.

Been using a pair of Italia for 6 years or so, no complaints. Bought one for my kid too. But also carry a spare comfy soft Italian leather. plastic buckle slide/adjustable Levys in accessory bag. Had a lot of Levys but this is my fav one, rolls up small.

I'm a pretty big guy and I agree on Ernie Ball straps. They do expand to a good size. Also, I enjoy making my own leather straps. Just go to a craft store or Tandy leather and get a nice supple piece of leather a bit longer than the length you want and punch yer own holes in. Perfect and they last forever. I still use one I made over 30 years ago.

I like this one:

I don't know if 65" is long enough. It's 3" wide. Very comfortable. I've got two of them. They used to be a little cheaper, but you can use a coupon code.

I use get'm get'm straps. They've got some that are crazy long. Many of them have something strange going on style wise, but they do have some plain ones. Regardless, they do have some that are long enough for you.

Another Italia recommendation here. High quality leather, very soft and supple and available in the length you require.
