Wow, those two sound very close but my guess:
Marshall JMP
Flexi
In that order.
The second amp sounds a little thicker and 'bolder' and less 'sweet' to my ears but it's the pick attack that gives it away, I recognise it from my own '79 JMP.
But like I said, it's close.
Both great tones btw and sweet playing too

Thats exactly the way I hear it. I went back and forth like 15 times, as they are VERY close sounding. The first is slightly smoother and sweeter, the second fatter, and a touch middier.
Nice playing Ed! I think it would have been better with no backing track, or an actual good mix. The backing kept taking my mind off of the tone because it was so faint.

So JMP-Flexi is what you say?
BTW, I did not dial the amps in so they sounded the same. merely turned them on. The first amp was at 2 o'clock, volume wise, the second wide open.

Ed,
I cant guess which amp is which, as i have never played them side by side. From what I could tell from the flexi I played, it was MUCH smoother than a marshall JMP. Are you using a drive box with the clips?

I dunno, but I really like the second part tone.
Playing is phycodelic sonic mayhem as always.
And thats a good thing.

Both very cool. I like the B side a bit better as well. It is a bit thicker, and fatter on the lead stuff.
Ed.....What the hell are you doing????? You need to be out on tour making the big cashola!!! Not only are your chops devastating, but they are fresh (which is the most impressive part of your playing).

First minute = Mesa Triple Rectifier
The Rest = Solid State Univox from 1973
:D
j/k Ed - nice noodling as usual! I dug the tone on the first minute more than the back end of the recording.

figured out the issue.
hmm sound very close to me .. hard to hear differences.
2nd one sounds a little tighter/sharper perhaps, the 1st one .. a little more mellow a little more bass. (more sound diffusion?)
which amp is which .. how the heck should i know?!?
