Question for the experts ... what might a fair price be for an Ultra that's essentially still new in the factory shipping box? It was bought as a backup for a gigging Ultra and never pressed into service. Updated to 11.0, still has the plastic on the display, unused power cord, manual, etc.

Or, perhaps another way to phrase the question would be, what sort of premium might be expected versus one that's been racked, gigged, and so forth? Or are they worth about the same price? Obviously the new one won't sound any different from the used one ... the new one's just not been "in the room" so to speak ;-)

Yeah the bottom really fell out on those things didn't they. :)

Without a MIDI interface I'd think that $1600 is a good solid fair price based on the market.

How about one with a ground control pro MIDI controller? I'm thinking 1750?

$1700 is fair for the condition your saying yours is in. These are no longer made so they are already a collectors piece. lol

It will cost the average person without coupon $2600 for the Axe2, and that will be the reality for quite some time. They are only on day 2 or 3 of the waiting list which started June 19th to get $400 off.

I've been keeping an eye in various places, i.e. Fractal Forum, Emporium here, eBay etc. and the Ultras seem to be selling in the $1600 to $1800 range. You get the odd 'flyers' at $1500 or $2000 but they are few and far between...

These are still awesome units, and there is still a demand for them it seems... :)

Im actually smiling now...cause in the past ANY electronic modelling box,
would lose 70% in value in 2 years! Amazing that if i sold my Ultra, i would
only lose $500.00? Sweet! Cant beat that, heck its better resale than
a Custom Shop Charvel... or Gibby. If my Ultra had "Digitech" on the front of it, it would be worth $450 now, from its $2K buy price!
